Educators' Hub

A modular training programme designed to support higher education teachers in integrating sustainability and microplastics education into their curricula.

The Educators’ Hub aims to improve sustainability awareness in textiles, and fosters a better and more accessible education on the environmental impacts of the industry.

The Educators’ Hub will ensure that the content developed is backed scientifically, and aligned with current developments in the field through a detailed report. The “State-of-the-art in the field of microplastics and synthetic microfibers release from fashion products to water” report will include data, case studies, challenges and success stories, based on the latest scientific findings.

Learning Materials

The learning materials will cover the core topics of microplastics and sustainable textile technologies (through Genially & RaskAI), to facilitate interactivity and efficiency in content and adapt it to various contexts and languages. They will offer flexible and engaging resources that cater to diverse learning preferences.
Podcasts

Podcasts

The podcasts will focus on sustainability and microplastics in textiles. They will feature discussions with experts and insights into current industry practices and solutions. The podcasts also will support educators with ready-to-use content, offering a more diverse educational format.
Multilingual dictionary

Multilingual dictionary

The Multilingual Interpretive Dictionary will standardize terminology relating to microplastics and sustainability, make it more clarifying and consistent across different languages, and supporting accessibility and coherency of content as well.
Structured training methodologies

Structured training methodologies

The methodologies will focus on microplastics, textile sustainability, and technologies to reduce microfibre release. The curriculum will integrate theory and practical experiments, as well as how to incorporate the 'Escape rooms' from the Students' Hub into classrooms as an interactive teaching tool. The 'Escape rooms' methodology introduces an innovative and interactive approach to teaching, making complex topics more memorable.
