1st TPM of the MicroWeave TEX project in Spain
The first Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the MicroWeave‑TEX project took place in Valencia, Spain, bringing together partners from across Europe to officially launch the collaboration and begin the implementation of the project activities.
Hosted by the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), the meeting marked an important milestone for the project consortium. Representatives from all partner institutions gathered to discuss the project objectives, coordinate the upcoming tasks, and strengthen collaboration among partners.
MicroWeave-TEX is an Erasmus+ project focused on developing sustainable solutions to reduce the release of synthetic microfibres from textiles. The project aims to address the environmental challenges posed by microplastics by creating innovative educational resources and training programmes for students, educators, and professionals in the textile sector.
During the meeting, partners reviewed the project structure and discussed the progress and planning of several work packages. Special attention was given to the development of educational materials, the creation of a multilingual dictionary related to microplastics and textiles, and the design of digital learning tools that will support the project’s future MOOC and training activities.
The consortium also explored strategies for dissemination, communication, and stakeholder engagement to ensure that the project results reach a wide audience across academia, industry, and society.
Beyond the technical discussions, the meeting provided an excellent opportunity for partners to strengthen their collaboration and exchange ideas on how to tackle the growing environmental challenge of microplastic pollution in the textile industry.
The consortium looks forward to the next phases of the project and to continuing the joint effort towards a more sustainable textile sector.
